Xbox One S for $399 Starts Retailing Aug. 2

The Xbox One S was initially introduced by Phil Spencer in this year’s Microsoft E3 2016 Press Conference.

Microsoft announced this morning that the Xbox One S will start hitting stores on August 2nd in three different storage capacities, with prices ranging between $299-$399.

The first Xbox One S unit, which will start selling first in August, is the 2 TB version ($399) in the United States, Australia and the UK. Microsoft has yet to announce the retail release dates of the 500 GB ($299) and the 1 TB ($349). The new Xbox wireless controller will be included in all three versions, but can be purchased separately for $59.99, also beginning August 2nd.

According to Microsoft, the Xbox One S rollout will start in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, UK and United States, with additional markets launching later this year.
