SPOBIS Gaming & Media Inaugural Event to be Held at gamescom
The SPOBIS event series with Europe’s biggest sports business conference is launching a new highlight in 2017. The inaugural event will be held at gamescom (August 22–26, Cologne), Europe’s leading business platform for the games industry and the world’s largest event for computer and video games. The SPOBIS Gaming & Media will take place for the first time in Cologne on August 21, 2017, one day before the gamescom kicks off.
The rapid developments in e-sports make it necessary for stakeholders from the worlds of professional sport to network with the gaming, media and advertising industries in addition to associated participating service providers and target groups. In order for all of those involved to take advantage of the synergies and potential that clearly exist, they must all get to know – and get on – with one another. It is exactly here that the SPOBIS Gaming & Media comes in: the international B2B conference takes place at the interface between the e-sport/gaming and sports business industries, providing an opportunity to consider the latest topics of relevance to both worlds and to bring top decision-makers from the different industries together. Experts from both worlds will share their expertise with the more than 700 participants expected at the event comprising parallel stage events, masterclasses and countless round-table discussions. The SPOBIS Gaming & Media is part of the gamescom week (August 20–27), which will once again attract around half a million visitors to Cologne this year.
SPONSORs will contribute the many years of success of the SPONSORs Sports Media Summit, which is attended by 400 specialists and decision-makers from the fields of sport, business and media. In cooperation with the Gamescom host Koelnmesse and the German Games Industry Association (BIU), the first SPOBIS Gaming & Media will celebrate its premiere one day before the official opening of the Gamescom – the leading trade fair in Europe for the gaming industry with more than 30,000 trade visitors from 98 countries.
