SPACELORDS by MercurySteam Releases Trilogy of Videos

San Sebastian de los Reyes, Spain – Independent development studio, MercurySteam, launched today the third video in a series detailing how their self-published game Raiders of the Broken Planet is facing its transition to a Free-to-Play business model and the rebranding of their original IP to Spacelords on August 23rd.

In this latest video, Lead Designer Joan Amat and Community Manager Karen Hernández discuss how the game itself is affected by those changes, and how the Advancement and Rewards systems have been completely reworked to accommodate the tastes of new and veteran players alike.

The first Inside Spacelords video saw Enric Álvarez, Game Director, explaining why the studio decided to take a bold new direction rebranding the game as Spacelords when the fourth campaign, Council Apocalypse, launches on August 23rd.

In the Second Video, Karen Hernández talked about the Free-to-Play transition, how all the game content in Spacelords will be unlockable by playing the game, the optional monetization features that have been included, and how this new business model will strengthen the community of players.

As we approach Spacelords’ release date, that will also add a full 25% more of content to the game with the new campaign Council Apocalypse, MercurySteam continues to add more content to the game, including new weapons and skins for two of the more popular characters: the murderous Doldren and the inscrutable H.I.V.E.
