Runes: The Forgotten Path VR Wizard Adventure Now on Kickstarter, Demo Available

Trieste, Italy – The Kickstarter campaign for Runes: The Forgotten Path has launched seeking a goal of $32,602 / 30.000 € to complete development and bring this magic-infused Virtual Reality adventure to PC (HTC Vive and Oculus Rift).

Runes aims to captivate your senses by immersing you in a vibrant and consistent world, where you will master the art of spellcasting by drawing rune shapes in the air with your hands to solve puzzles and fight enemies. The game is set in a mystical world ruled by the Panopticon: an order of powerful wizards that regulate the use of magic oppressing people and confining their opponents to the Oblivion. In this magical prison of the mind, you will start your adventure as Leth, a renegade wizard determined to regain his freedom while seeking for his lost memories.

“Our Kickstarter is finally live with a demo for everyone to download that will allow people to enjoy the magic of Runes before they pledge on our Kickstarter.” Said Alejandro Castedo of Stormbon Studio, “In Runes we implemented an innovative locomotion system called 4th Wall to provide a seamless experience devoid of motion sickness. We really hope that this will change somewhat the way people experience the immense potential of Virtual Reality.”

Key Game Features:
  • 100% designed for room scale VR
  • Full story driven VR title with different environments and puzzle solving
  • Photogrammetry for full deep and immersive worlds. New seamless locomotion system
  • Nodding system: answer to yes or no questions just by moving your head
