Rocksmith for iOS Announced by Ubisoft

Learn to Play Guitar or Bass with the Critically Acclaimed Rocksmith Method

SAN FRANCISCO — May 16, 2017 — Today, Ubisoft announced the development of Rocksmith for iOS, the fastest way to learn guitar or bass*, allowing new players to join the more than four million people who have learned to play guitar with the award-winning Rocksmith software. Rocksmith will be available worldwide at a later time as a free-to-play app for iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch

Rocksmith features a fresh new look designed specifically for iOS. The Rocksmith app supports acoustic guitars using the built-in microphone, with no need for any extra accessories. Players can also plug in with an electric guitar or bass using any compatible adapter or cable.

Rocksmith offers a suite of carefully constructed practice tools to help anyone learn guitar or bass, including Dynamic Difficulty, Riff Repeater, interactive video lessons and Practice Tracks. Rocksmith’s Dynamic Difficulty system reacts to each player’s abilities and tailors the difficulty level as they play, so players are always challenged but not overwhelmed. Riff Repeater allows players to customize their practice sessions by selecting part of a song, setting the difficulty and speed to their liking, and looping it until they’ve got it down. More than 80 interactive video lessons teach basic and advanced skills with real-time feedback on the player’s performance. Players can then hone their skills with Practice Tracks recorded exclusively for Rocksmith.

Rocksmith comes with four free songs, and players can purchase additional songs through the in-app shop. New songs will be added to the shop weekly. The professionally curated song library features the original recordings of some of music’s biggest hits. Rocksmith does not have any time restrictions; players can practice whenever and wherever they want, for as long as they want.

Rocksmith is currently in soft launch in Canada for the iPad. For more information on Rocksmith, please visit www.rocksmith.com
