Open Gaming Alliance Hosts Panel at Cloud Gaming USA

Issues and Opportunities of the Cloud in Game Development and
Discovery to be Discussed
CLOUD GAMING USA: San Francisco; (September 25, 2015) – The Open Gaming Alliance (OGA), a non-profit association focused on the growth of the games industry business, announced it will host a panel entitled the Foundation of the Cloud Future as part of the this year’s Cloud Gaming USA conference. The session will take place on Tuesday, September 29, between 11:25 AM -12:25 PM PT at the Sheraton Fisherman’s Wharf at 2500 Mason Street, San Francisco, California.
The panel will discuss the future of the cloud and cloud-based game development, discovery and delivery. Topics will include:
  • the latest tools and best practices with cloud-based game production;
  • how the cloud can help discovery and user acquisition, and what still needs improvement;
  • what the continued rise of the cloud means for existing security and delivery protocol;
  • Empowerment or more middlemen? New issues and challenges introduced by cloud-based production.

The panel will be moderated by Neil Haldar, independent consultant and former VP of Business Development, GREE. Alexander Fernandez, CEO of Streamframe; James Gwertzman, CEO and co-founder of Playfab; Carl Callewaert, Global Evangelist for Unity Technologies; and Frederik Peter, CEO and co-founder at Gorillabox, complete the panel.
