With new features like a sexual preferences selector, the redesign lets 18+ gamers avail a tailor-made and inclusive adult gaming experience, reestablishing Nutaku’s determination to cater to a diverse community
MONTREAL – As online and mobile gaming gains momentum, Nutaku.net will become the first gaming platform to ever roll out an inclusive new interface, built to accommodate the growth of adult gamers. On Monday, August 19, Nutaku took center stage at their first ever Game Developer Conference in Cologne, Germany, where attendees got a sneak peek of what Nutaku has in the pipeline.
The redesign seeks to pave the way for users to take advantage of new features, like a built-in search bar and games filter, facilitating the hunt for preferred games from a compilation of free-to-play and premium titles. Users can toggle on or off the sexual preference selector, filtering options based on sexual preference. The selector reinforces the platform’s dedication to making adult gaming more inclusive.
“We’ve had a massive influx of players over the past 4 years, going from 1 million registered users at the end of 2015, to over 35 million to date. Given these numbers, we wanted to upgrade the platform’s user experience to accommodate our growing community,” says Julie Hall, Communications Manager for Nutaku.
“When we look closer at the new players coming to our platform, we’ve seen a growth in female gamers from 6% in 2015 to 21%, as well as in LGBTQ+ gamers, from less than 1% in 2015 to 6% after launching our new LGBTQ+ section in December. This called for implementing some new features to provide the best gaming experience for all of our users today and going into the coming years.”
