Nintendo Denies Legal Complaints as Flappy Bird Withdraws

Flappy Bird’s creator, Dong Nguyen, has been amassing $50,000 USD a day thanks to the free title’s in-game adverts, and has removed it from both the Apple App Store and Google Play market, claiming that he could not deal with the new found level of fame.

Overzealous fans, who were angered by the game’s removal, began a rumor that it was due to Nintendo’s warning about copyrights as we can all see how the pipes resemble Super Mario Bros. series of games.

Nintendo spokesman, Yasuhiro Minagawa, has stated to the Wall Street Journal:

“While we usually do not comment on the rumors and speculations, we have already denied the speculation.”

What are your thoughts about Flappy Bird being withdrawn?
