Harmonix Free-To-Play Record Run Now Available for Android

Harmonix (Dance Central, Rock Band) and SuperVillain Studios previously announced free-to-play mobile music-based runner Record Run at PAX East 2014.

Today, in a press release sent to Gaming Cypher, the developer announced that Record Run is now available for Android devices.

Harmonix Music Systems and SuperVillain Studios are pleased to announce that rhythm-runner Record Run is available now as a free download for Android devices via Google Play™ and the Amazon Appstore!

Record Run is an all-new rhythm-runner experience set to your music, using proprietary Harmonix technology to generate fun, rhythmically satisfying musical levels to play along with your music. Pick from a fun cast of characters and dodge, slide under, and jump over a variety of hazards in a bustling, colorful city reactive to your song library. Collect records and backstage passes to unlock new content, challenge your friends to asynchronous song battles, and more in Record Run!

Additionally, cool updates have been made to the game on all platforms. A new character has been added – a hip-hop girl who transforms into a jamming astronaut when it Groove Mode! Other updates include improved song navigation, an improved challenge system, and updated animations and audio for snappier, more rhythmic gameplay. Record Run is available for download now on Google Play™ and the Amazon Appstore, as well as the App Store for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
