LOS ANGELES – Family Guy fans everywhere have a new reason to party! Family Guy: Another Freakin’ Mobile Game is on the way. In its fourth collaboration with Twentieth Century Fox Television, Jam City is bringing one of the most successful animated sitcoms ever made to its more than 50 million fans worldwide with a genre-bending match-3 game that’s unlike anything that has ever hit app stores.
Created in close partnership with Seth MacFarlane’s Family Guy Production team and featuring fan favorite characters from the show and original animated content, Family Guy: Another Freakin’ Mobile Game gives anyone with a mobile device the chance to help Peter Griffin save Quahog–one drink at a time. The free-to-play game is expected to officially launch in early summer, but fans do not have to wait until then for all the action. “Family Guy became the success it is by bringing a sarcastic, off-the-wall, in-your-face voice to television audiences that was really unlike anything else that we’d ever seen,” said Josh Yguado, co-founder and president of Jam City. “So when we made this game we wanted to make sure that we were bringing that same hilarious and rebellious tradition to mobile phones.” Added Yguado: “This game is not for kids . . . or the easily offended.”
The puzzle-based game gives players a chance to interact with everyone’s favorite characters from the Family Guy universe. Deliver a knockout blow to the Giant Chicken, and help Quagmire get giggity. The game is a truly authentic Family Guy experience that fans will love. New game content will be added weekly with regular episode tie-ins introducing storylines, hijinks and debauchery straight from the show, into the game.
“My children tell me many young people own smartphones, so this seemed like a good idea,” said Family Guy Executive Producer Rich Appel.
Jam City has made a science out of turning some of Hollywood’s largest entertainment franchises into hit mobile games. The mobile gaming publisher is the creator of 6 of the Top 100 highest grossing games played in the United States across both iPhone and Android devices.
