EA SPORTS FIFA Heading to Nintendo Switch

Yesterday at the Nintendo Switch Event in Tokyo, Patrick Söderlund, EVP of Worldwide Studios, announced that EA SPORTS FIFA will be coming to Nintendo Switch later this year. He was very honored to be there to represent EA and announce EA’s support for this new platform. Söderlund even remarked at the unveiling, “New hardware is always a positive for our industry. Nintendo’s heritage is to always push forward, to dare to choose their own path, and now they are doing it again with the Nintendo Switch. We’re excited to be partnered with them again, and to bring new experiences to players on this brand new platform.” 2017 is shaping up to be a great year already, congratulations and thank you Nintendo for including us on a great event!

Söderlund then continued,

“So today, we’re extremely excited to announce that the world’s most popular sports game will be coming to Nintendo Switch later this year.

EA SPORTS FIFA on Nintendo Switch will be the most immersive, social, and authentic sports game ever created for Nintendo players.

It will deliver the FIFA experience custom built for Nintendo Switch…so you can play anywhere, play with anyone, and play how you want to play.

If you’re at the park, at your friend’s house, or on vacation, you can always stay connected to the biggest matches. You’ll be able to get on the pitch with your favorite players and teams from the world’s best leagues in iconic stadiums from around the world…all with the unmatched authenticity and depth that FIFA is known for.

We’ll have much more to say and show in the coming months as we bring the world’s game to Nintendo Switch in 2017.”

The new Nintendo Switch system will launch worldwide on March 3, 2017 at a suggested retail price of $299.99 in the United States.
