BenQ to Support UMG Nashville 2014 Gaming Competition

Following the success of UMG Dallas in August, BenQ will once again supply 200 of its highly acclaimed RL Series console gaming monitors for the competition, as well as give away a new XL2430T monitor via UMG’s Twitter feed. With blazing-fast response times and RevolutionEyes™ technology for exceptional monitor performance, BenQ’s RL2460HT and RL2455HM displays will ensure that teams enjoy the best possible experience during long hours of action-packed game play.

Recently released, the XL2430T combines BenQ’s world-renowned gaming-focused solutions with new and improved enhancements. Featuring BenQ’s Motion Blur Reduction 2.0 technology, the monitor ensures an ultra-smooth, blur-free, and lag-free gaming experience, while the improved Black eQualizer 2.0 feature detects the input source and automatically adjusts the amount of brightness in the game within the range selected by the user. As a result, players can identify targets effortlessly and react quickly to any in-game situation without taking time out for manual adjustments.

UMG Nashville is shaping up to be a fierce competition, and we can think of no better way to support the eSports community than with our RL Series professional gaming monitors,” said Bob Wudeck, Associate Vice President, Strategy and Business Development at BenQ America Corp. “We’re excited to be working with UMG to ensure eSports athletes have the very best tools at their disposal for competitive play as our monitors are perfect for fast-action games like Call of Duty: Ghosts.”

All UMG Nashville 2014 battles will take place on BenQ’s RL Series monitors. The RL2460HT is optimized specifically for real-time strategy (RTS) and first-person shooter (FPS) console games such as Call of Duty: Ghosts, MOBA-style games like StarCraft® ll: Heart of the Swarm™, and popular fighting games such as Mortal Kombat™. The monitor’s unique HDMI-out port enables live streaming of gaming content without any risk of lag or delay for the player, while the audience can watch the action via the direct feed from a competitor’s monitor — thus enhancing the real-time nature of competitive gaming. Designed for professional gaming, the RL2455HM features an ultra-low input lag that renders action without ghosting or latency from mouse motion. Both monitors feature a 60Hz refresh rate, 24-inch widescreen (16:9) full HD LED screen, LED backlighting for great color reproduction and low power consumption, and a 12 million to 1 contrast ratio for the best in picture quality.

The entire BenQ professional gaming monitor line features RevolutionEyes technology for exceptional performance with striking visual clarity, seamless motion fluidity, and added viewing comfort for prolonged hours of competitive play. With the displays’ ZeroFlicker™ technology, gamers experience fast, flicker-free game play where speed, comfort, and control are important factors for success. BenQ’s RL Series gaming monitors bring ultra-fast refresh rates and quick 1-ms GTG response times for faster pixel rates to give players complete control over their gaming experience.
