Developer Two Tribes has announced that almost three years after their challenging, ambitious puzzle adventure game Toki Tori 2+ came out on Steam and the Wii U eShop, they are now finally bringing it to PlayStation 4!
Toki Tori 2+ is a completely different experience from the first Toki Tori. To achieve this goal, the developer formulated a bunch of rather bold principles. Starting off, they wanted a large open world without any traditional puzzle items.
The chicken hero has just two moves, whistle and stomp, with great complexity arising from that simple core. The world opens up as players learn more about its creatures and other characteristics, meaning that inquisitive players can go anywhere, anytime, right from the start, while less experienced players can simply follow the game’s flow.
To raise the stakes even further, Two Tribes wanted everything in Toki Tori 2+ to speak for itself, literally. The game’s story is told through interactive in-game setpieces that never take the controls away from the player. And, even though they have added some help/story messages since the initial release, players still have to figure out most of it by themselves, through experimentation.

Toki Tori 2+ for PS4 comes out on the PlayStation Store, worldwide, on February 23rd, 2016. And for the first time ever, the game will also get a disc release, courtesy of Soedesco. The game has been released on the Wii U eShop on April 4th, 2013 and on Steam on July 11, 2013.
