While visiting the Daedalic and Forgotten Key booth at PAX West 2017, I had a great time taking a look at AER – Memories of Old.

AER – Memories of Old is an adventure amongst the clouds from Swedish developer Forgotten Key and publisher Daedalic. Play as a girl with the ability to transform into a bird to explore a world of floating islands in the clouds. Unlock secrets through environmental puzzles at your own pace. In this space exploration RPG, players command a 4-person crew that ends up lost on the other side of the universe after the first light jump goes horribly wrong. Stranded with a rapidly deteriorating ship and dwindling supplies, players must manage the politics of different alien races, the limited yet valuable resources at their disposal, and the survival of the ship all while trying to bring the crew home. read more

The Pillars of the Earth Interactive Novel Part 1 Announced by Daedalic for Consoles and PC

Hamburg – German developer and publisher Daedalic Entertainment has revealed their upcoming video game The Pillars of the Earth is set for an August 2017 release. Available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, the game is an adaptation of the best-selling historical novel by Ken Follett, The Pillars of the Earth. It is a one-of-a-kind, 2D point and click adventure, a genre that Daedalic is renowned for. The development team took the 1,200-pages book as the blueprint and, turned it into an interactive novel. Players follow a nonlinear storyline with 3 playable main characters. The game is going to be released as three books with seven chapters each. Players purchase a season pass when buying book 1 – Daedalic will share more information about book 2 and 3 at gamescom this year. read more

Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun Review for PC

Another wonder from publisher Daedalic Entertainment after their previous Deponia. This German publisher/developer came up as a sunshine during the end of December. Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun is developed by another German developer Mimimi Productions, and published by Daedalic Entertainment. This is an extremely unique game which is now one of my favorites. Shadow Tactics reminds me of Mark of Ninja, which was a similar concept but just one protagonist and 2D stealth based game. This one is a full 3D and strategic camera angle, which gives us access to utilize our moves optimized. Let’s talk about the gameplay. read more
