Sproggiwood Headed to Mobile May 28

Freehold Games has announced that it’s now bringing Sproggiwood to Android and iOS with a “PC-perfect” port that matches the desktop version feature for feature and pixel by pixel.

Don’t let Sproggiwood’s adorable art deceive you. Like any good roguelike, this game requires patience and skill to survive a trek through the Sprog. Taking you on a hilarious adventure through Finnish folklore, Sproggiwood introduces you to Sproggi — the guardian of Sprog. Disguising himself as a talking sheep (!), Sproggi lures you into his realm to help him bring peace and order to the land and tame the creatures that inhabit the Sprog. During your travels, you will eventually discover a budding mushroom civilization. Whether you choose to befriend (or crush) the inhabitants is up to you …

Each of Sproggiwood’s procedurally-generated dungeons is filled with monsters, traps, weapons, loot, and much more. Completing the dungeons will require mastery of game’s unique tactical combat mechanics. However, unlike traditional roguelikes, dying does not mean “Game Over”: It just encourages you to come back … and loot some more!

Sproggiwood features six unique character classes complete with customizable weapons, armor, and abilities. Finding the right character and weapons to fit your playstyle is critical to surviving the dungeons and defeating bosses. When you’re not fighting monsters and looting dungeons, you can build a town for your newly-tamed creatures to inhabit.
