Shoppe Keep Nominated for Indie Game of the Year on indiedb.com

Shoppe Keep has been nominated for the Indie of the year award over at indiedb.com.

Shoppe Keep had launched in Early Access in August of 2015 and was developed by Arvydas Žemaitis and published by Excalibur. A Lithuanian developer who has pushed out over 22 updates for the title since August with a large Christmas update due for later this month.

During this time, the game has been played by over 50,000 gamers and is currently sitting at an 87% positive review score on Steam.

The developer is overjoyed with how the game has performed and they are anticipating a significant update during the Christmas season.

Shoppe Keep Update details:

  • Enhancements to the progression system and skill tree
  • Snow weather effects
  • Freeze spell
  • Vinyl player
  • New weapons and armour types to sell
  • Changes to the champion system including levelling up
  • A special candy cane sword which can only be unlocked during the Christmas period
  • A new back garden area

About Arvydas Žemaitis
Currently there is not a prominent video game industry in Lithuania. However, Arvydas self-taught himself games programming and released two android games totaling just 50 downloads between them. In Early 2015 he began work on something much bigger for PC powering forward with his programming. Later on that year he released his very first PC game (Shoppe Keep) with Excalibur in the month of August. To this date it has been played by more than 50,000 people since its release on Early Access.

Excalibur is the publishing arm of parent company Contact Sales Ltd.  Excalibur was founded in 2004, and eleven years later, 2015 sees the company venturing into new territory creating its own IP such as the sequel to European Ship Simulator (World Ship Simulator), Better Late Than DEAD and Counter Terrorism Unit.  Earlier this year, Excalibur gained worldwide Sony publisher status.
