At the beginning of the month, Tragnarion Studios announced that Scourge Outbreak is heading to PS3 and Steam in April.
Today, the developer confirmed that the Steam release will take place April 2nd and released an announcement video.
The Steam release will provide the player with the following features:
- 8-player PVP
- 4-player co-op campaign
- 4 playable characters
Here is what the developer had to say about the April 2nd release:
Several years ago we released “The Scourge Project: Ep. 1 & 2” on Steam for PC. Since then, we’ve worked hard to improve almost every aspect of the game while preparing the console versions, and we’re so happy with the results that we are also releasing the re-boot on Steam! After a long wait, we can finally announce that “Scourge: Outbreak” will be available on Steam for PC & Mac on Wednesday, 2nd of April 2014! To celebrate the launch, we’ll be giving away “Scourge: Outbreak” FREE to everyone who bought the original game on Steam! Thank you SO much for your support and encouragement, and make sure to keep an eye on your Steam inbox! And by the way, you guys and gals aren’t the only ones who have been anxiously awaiting the Steam release. Echo Squad is ready for action!

Scourge Outbreak will be released on Steam April 2nd for PC and Mac. We’ll let you know as soon as the PS3 release is dated.
