Red Bull Air Race Game Reaches 4th Qualifying Round

Salzburg, Austria – August 6^th, 2015 – The first ever Red Bull Air Race Virtual World Championship has reached its fourth round. At the same time as the real Air Race World Championship, the virtual world championship is being held in the free smartphone racing game Red Bull Air Race – The Game for iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Android smartphones and tablets. The winner of each qualifying round will get an all-inclusive trip to Las Vegas. So far, three tickets have been awarded, but virtual Air Race pilots still have three more chances, since there are three stops left, to win a spot in the plane to Las Vegas! The virtual qualifying round for the fourth race on August 15^th and 16^th in Ascot, United Kingdom started on Tuesday, August 4^th, 2015 at 4:00 PM.

The first race in the virtual championship in Chiba, Japan was won in mid-May by Xandr A.J. from Russia with the sensational time of 55.816 seconds. An Austrian won the second race on the course in Rovinj, Croatia at the end of May: Daniel H. finished with the fastest time of 46.151 seconds, earning the ticket to the grand finale of the Red Bull Air Race Virtual World Championship in Las Vegas on October 17^th and 18^th, 2015. In the third qualifying round in Budapest, Hungary, Xandr A.J. won again – but since he already has a ticket to Las Vegas thanks to his victory in the first round, the second place finisher of the race, Werner P. from Austria with a time of 57.2232 seconds will get his place.

There are three more tickets for the trip to Las Vegas, and daring pilots can download the free racing game from the App Store and Google Play any time in order to participate in the current qualifying round for the next race in Ascot – the spots are getting harder to come by every day!

Along with the season finale of the real world championship, which all six Virtual World Championship winners will have the opportunity to see live, the champions will receive the official winner’s trophy, have a meet & greet with the actual world champion, and experience a tandem flight in an original Red Bull Air Race plane!

Chiba, Japan – May 16^th + 17^th, 2015 – Winner: Xandr A. J. from Russia
Rovinj, Croatia – May 30^th + 31^st, 2015 – Winner: Daniel H. from Austria
Budapest, Hungary – July 04^th + 05^th, 2015 – Winner: Werner P. from Austria
Ascot, United Kingdom – August 15^th + 16^th, 2015 – Qualifying has started!
Spielberg, Austria – September 05th + 06th, 2015
Fort Worth, Texas – September 26th + 27th, 2015
Grand Finale: Las Vegas, Nevada – October 17th + 18th, 2015
