Developer Insomniac Games announced that Ratchet & Clank is headed to both PS4 and theaters next year during yesterday’s Sony E3 2014 press conference.
The developer is working together with Sony Pictures on the movie, which will feature Ratchet’s origins. In addition, Insomniac is working on a remake of the original game, which will focus not only on Ratchet’s origins, but will include “updated gameplay” and “completely new visuals.”

The game is slated to release sometime in 2015 alongside the movie.
