PromaxBDA 2016 Game Marketing Awards Finalists Announced

PromaxBDA Game Marketing Association Selects Finalists for Year’s Best and Most Innovative Interactive Entertainment Marketing Campaigns Awards

Los Angeles, CA – (May 11, 2016) – PromaxBDA – the leading global association for entertainment marketing, promotion, and design professionals – is thrilled to announce today that their 2016 Game Marketing Awards will be held on May 24, 2016, beginning at 10 a.m. PDT. Winners will be announced live on Twitter at @PromaxBDA.

Now in its tenth year, the Game Marketing Awards are the industry’s premier celebration of interactive gaming marketing. Thirty-nine categories recognize outstanding achievement by the teams behind the multi-platform campaigns, promos, and social media innovations that create or reinforce the most relevant brands in gaming, building passionate fandom in the process.

“We’ve seen some truly amazing and successful games hit store shelves this past year,” said Stacy La Cotera, General Manager and Vice President, Global Awards, PromaxBDA. “These games in large part owe their success to the wonderfully talented and creative people behind their promotional campaigns. With the 2016 Game Marketing Awards, we recognize their efforts and give them the distinction they deserve as some of the best examples of great marketing today.”

Award categories include Outstanding Promotional Trailer, Best Game Footage Trailer, Best Use of Music in a Promotional Piece, Best Box Art, Best Cool Sh*t, Outstanding Marketing Campaign of the Year (All-Inclusive), and Best Use of eSports.

Out of the many talented teams under consideration for their fantastic work, the Game Marketing Association’s esteemed panel of judges and jury selected the following finalists: Activision, Bethesda Game Studios / Bethesda Softworks, Blizzard Entertainment, CD Project Red, Daybreak Games, Electronic Arts, the ESL, Microsoft Xbox, Ubisoft, Square Enix, 2K and Warner Bros. Interactive, as well as key players in the creative and media space, including AKQA, Ant Farm, Ayzenberg, Create, Maverick, Midnight Oil, Petrol, Fearless Media, and Liquid Advertising.
