According to a report from DFC Intelligence, PC software sales ballooned to over $20 billion in the year 2012.
Details showed that this is an 8% increase from the year 2011, and the main contributors to these increases in sales are games such as Minecraft, Diablo 3, and Guild Wars 2. Also in the report was that China is the world’s largest growing PC market, and accounted for $7 billion of the total sales from 2012.
Some other cool findings is that there are about 1 billion PC gamers on the planet today, and PC Sales are predicted to reach at least $25.7 billion by the year 2016.
