In a press release sent to Gaming Cypher, EnGeniux announced the ordering information, pricing and specifications for the new OTON X dev (Developer) units. The OTON dev unit is the first step for EnGeniux to obtain critical feedback from early game developers, adopters, media and game enthusiast regarding the OTON game creation. This hardware build doesn’t represent the final system build. This system will let EnGeniux test new updates, improve UI and create new game assets. All OTON dev unit customers will receive a free final retail OTON unit when the units are available.
The OTON dev is limited to only 100 “Master units” and require invite for additional units. The production goal of the OTON dev units will not be produced beyond 500 units. The FREE retail unit is only available for the first 100 units and orders beyond the first 100 units will be issued a $50 credit toward the final retail OTON units. Some of the first 100 customers may receive a second improve unit before EnGeniux release the final retail units.
The OTON developer unit is $399 with a January 2015 shipping date. Orders can be submitted at the www.OTONX.com website. Note: Delays could happen in regards to final system testing.
