New Developer Event DEVCOM in Call for Papers

Cologne – March 28, 2017 – From August 20–24, 2017, devcom, the brand-new game developer event, will debut in Cologne within the framework of gamescom, the world’s largest computer and video games trade fair (August 22-26, 2017). In a call for papers to provide a wide range of event offerings and talks with interesting and informative content, devcom organizers are inviting industry experts and insiders to submit their ideas, topics and other suggestions for consideration.

Previously unpublished talks, panels, case studies and presentations may be submitted up to April 11, 2017. The focus will be on Virtual Reality, Mobile Games, Business and Production. Other topics may include but are not limited to:
•    Programming
•    Design
•    Audio
•    Diversity
•    Monetization
•    eSports

In addition to keynotes and panel discussions held as part of the devcom developer conference, devcom will also feature workshops, summits, master classes and matchmaking in its extensive offering.

  • devcom Master Classes – two-hour Round Table discussions for up to 40 participants each, focused on marketing, game design and production as well as sales
  • devcom Tutorials – hands-on tutorial sessions, up to four a day, on cutting-edge technologies, game engines and advertising tools
  • devcom Summits – three one-day summits with a focus on mobile gaming, virtual reality and monetization 

    Also, under the auspices of devcom, indie conference RESPAWN offers developers and students an informal place to exchange ideas, as well as hosting the Indie Games Summit, the Newcomer Summit and a new format, the Late Night Talks on Sunday night.

    Submission deadline for all contributions is April 11, 2017. Please submit those at www.devcom.global.

    The devcom developer conference will take place on August 20 and 21, 2017 in the Congress Centrum Ost at the Koelnmesse trade fair grounds.
