Daedalic Entertainment Studio West presents information about the space fleet and intergalactical missions
At E3 2016 in Los Angeles, Daedalic Entertainment Studio West presented exciting news about The Long Journey Home. The developers showed parts of the space fleet for the very first time and granted a look inside the space ships. Additionally, there is information about the missions of the brave space crew who was initially supposed to go to Alpha Centauri. Also, there will be a first outlook on a few alien life forms in the game!

About the Mission:
The first mission’s goal is to reach Alpha Centauri. The astronauts are supposed to take ground samples. The Alcubierre Jump Drive was developed in line with the KNOSSOS research project, specifically for this mission. This technology enables the light jump impulse of a space ship. A fleet consisting of diverse space ships is available for the very first manned light jump in the history of mankind. These space ships differ in load capacity, jump coverage, tank volume and technical equipment. There are also different landing modules which enable the exploration of Alpha Centauri. The space ships are provided with the latest scanners and laboratories and offer enough room for four members of the mission. Therefore, the player has to choose four out of ten available astronauts before launching the mission. Their individual and variable skills are essential for the shaping of the adventure.
About The Long Journey Home:
The Long Journey Home is a Space Exploration RPG that combines the best of classic space adventures like Starflight and Star Control II with the replayability of modern roguelikes, in a procedurally generated, endlessly surprising living universe inspired by beloved modern Science Fiction shows like Farscape and Firefly.
Your goal: to find the way back to Earth. An accident during humanity’s first jump drive test has catapulted you and your crew to the other side of the galaxy, and the only way home is through. Lead your crew as you explore new worlds in search of allies and support. Face searing storms and deadly gravity as you plunder alien worlds for their secrets and technology. Befriend alien races and earn their trust. Keep your people alive. Do whatever it takes to get home.
