HOB Announced as a PS4 Console Exclusive Title at PlayStation Experience

SEATTLE–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Runic Games, Inc. (“Runic Games”), a specialized developer of PC and console entertainment software in the United States, announced their console exclusive partnership with Sony, to bring Hob to PlayStation 4.

“Hob is an experience that I want people to have and bringing it to the PS4 will bring it to an audience that normally wouldn’t be able to play it. I can’t wait for people to see what our team here at Runic has come up with.”

This weekend marked the second annual PlayStation Experience expo, where Hob was announced as a PlayStation console exclusive title in Saturday’s keynote speech and was playable on the show floor. The announcement came alongside a brand new trailer for the game.

This is the first partnership between developer Runic Games and Sony as a publisher. “I couldn’t ask for a better group of people to work with,” said President Marsh Lefler. Hob is an experience that I want people to have and bringing it to the PS4 will bring it to an audience that normally wouldn’t be able to play it. I can’t wait for people to see what our team here at Runic has come up with.”

Hob was first announced in August of this year where it debuted at PAX Prime, garnering two Best of Show awards. This is the third title from Runic Games, previously known for their Torchlight series. Hob was described by Game Informer as “beautiful and dangerous.”
