gamescom 2016 Gets a Strong Mobile Gaming Representation

gamescom from August 17-21, 2016, is the world’s largest event for computer and video games. More than 800 exhibitors from around 50 countries are expected in the Cologne exhibition halls in mid-August. The foundation for these impressive figures is the diverse offer of the 360 degree event: Exciting new games will be on display for all platforms – from consoles, to PC, through to smartphones and tablets. The development of the exhibitors from the mobile gaming section is particularly strong: More than 100 companies (+20% compared to the final status 2015), including developers for and suppliers of smartphones and tablet computers as well as handhelds, are using gamescom 2016 as a platform for their products. The theme mobile gaming is being presented in the entire business and entertainment area at numerous exhibitor stands so that interested gaming fans can try out the latest games and developments in the mobile gaming section live.

Amazon is represented at gamescom for the first time. The mail order company is present on 400 square metres in Hall 8 – including an Amazon app shop. With theme days that alternate daily, Amazon is particularly focusing on the promotion of independent, young developers and aspiring talents of the technology industry. Further exhibitors from the mobile gaming section include, among others, Aeria Games GmbH, ALTERNATE GmbH, Bigpoint GmbH, expert AG, Google Inc. / YouTube, LLC, Kalypso Media Group GmbH, Samsung Electronics GmbH, Wooga GmbH and many more.
