At gamescom 2016, which is open to all August 18 – 21, the cosplay village (hall 10.1) is among the highlights, as it was in the previous year. It is the meeting point for many gaming fans, who, thanks to sophisticated costumes, are in some cases easily mistaken for their heroes from the computer games. The cosplay contest does justice to the popularity of the cosplay village and the fantastic dedication of the many cosplayers at gamescom. This is why the cosplay contest, which is being carried out by Defcon Unlimited, is once again taking place this year. The cosplay contest is awarding prizes in a total of six categories.
