Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Patch 2.55 Now Live

LOS ANGELES (Mar. 31, 2015) – Today, Square Enix announced the release of Patch 2.55, titled “Before the Fall” Part Two, for FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn. The update implements the finale of the A Realm Reborn story.

The spectacular conclusion to FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn prepares adventurers for the upcoming expansion, Heavensward, the title’s first major expansion releasing on June 23, 2015. New and lapsed players are urged to join their fellow adventurers in uncovering the mysteries of A Realm Reborn as completing the final main scenario quest “Before the Dawn,” introduced in Patch 2.55, will be required to gain access to Heavensward content .

 

Patch 2.55 Overview
A great wyrm’s roar echoes through the skies of Coerthas, calling all dragonkind to war. The Gates of Judgement, Ishgard’s outermost defenses, now come under attack. FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn is available for PC, PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system, the PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system, and coming soon to Mac. A free 30-day trial is included for new FINAL FANTASY XIV accounts, with monthly subscriptions starting at $12.99. The game recently surpassed 4 million adventurers worldwide.

FINAL FANTASY XIV: Heavensward releases June 23, 2015 and will feature a new story which plunges adventurers into the heart of the Dragonsong War, the bloody thousand-year conflict between the knights of Ishgard and the dragons of Dravania. Adventurers can also look forward to an increased level cap from 50 to 60 for all disciplines, a new playable race, new dungeons and raids, new primal battles, and new mounts that allow players to take to the skies—flying black chocobos, single-rider airships, dragons and more!
