Eschatos and Judgement Silversword -Resurrection- Steam Release!
SAGAMIHARA SHI, KANAGAWA, JAPAN – Sept 14, 2015 – CEO Takeru Osako and Qute, Ltd. are proud to announce the release of arcade shooting games ESCHATOS and Judgement Silversword -Resurrection– for Steam on September 18th, 2015. Originally a cult classic on the XBox 360, the Steam release brings these excellent shooting games to a wider audience.
ESCHATOS (Greek for “the extreme” or “the last”) is a vertical shooting game designed for high tempo thrills! A mysterious alien invasion called “Purple Erosion” threatens to invade Earth. Using your advanced space fighter, you must repel the invasion and recapture the Moon. There are three different weapons to choose, and you’ll need to use them effectively to defeat an armada of UFOs and other strange enemies before they blast you to pieces! The scoring system is simple and intuitive – destroy enemies as quickly and efficiently as possible. However, mastering this is extremely difficult as enemies move very quickly themselves! The dynamic camera system creates a sense of exhilarating speed as you explore 5 beautiful stages, including Earth’s orbit and the alien moon base. The music of ESCHATOS is awesome – Yasui Yousuke’s amazing FM-synth soundtrack will have you reaching to turn up the volume. Judgement Silversword was developed by indie game designer M-KAI, who used Wonder Witch, a development tool from Qute, to win a WonderSwan game development contest. The WonderSwan was an early color handheld console, so the game has a distinctive 8-bit look. Judgement Silversword has superficially simple mechanics: use your 3 weapons efficiently to destroy enemies as quickly as possible. However, mastering this is deceptively difficult, giving the game a lot of depth and making it a favorite for high score chasers. In many ways, Judgement Silversword is the inspiration and predecessor for Eschatos.
Cardinal Sins puts a twist on the shooting genre by dividing the stages according to themed objectives based on the “Seven Deadly Sins.”. If you survive the seven trials, you will face the Judge! Judgement Silversword and Cardinal Sins are sold together as a dual pack.
All three games are available in the Eschatos Wonder Pack: A deluxe pack including Eschatos, Judgement Silversword, Cardinal Sins, and the original OST.
