The Cave is a new adventure game from Monkey Island and Maniac Mansion creator Ron Gilbert, and Double Fine Productions, the award-winning studio behind Psychonauts and Brütal Legend.
Deep Silver has unveiled pre-order incentives for Metro: Last Light.
Pre-orders are available now and contain the following Ranger-Mode DLC:
- A hardcore mode that completely removes the HUD
- Caps your resources
- Gives you a new AKSU weapon, and
- 100 military-grade rounds to help you along your way
For the UK customers, if you pre-order from GAME stores you will also receive the RPK machine gun that boasts a fearsome rate of fire.
EA has confirmed some of Battlefield 4’s pre-order incentives after yesterday’s game reveal at GDC.
All pre-orders will receive a Premium Expansion Pack, the contents of which have not yet been disclosed.
Paradox North announced Magicka Wizard Wars at GDC. It’s a PvP-based multiplayer game based on their celebrated slapstick sorcery franchise.
The company’s David Nisshagen said, “We’re actually more thinking of it as a NOBA. It’s not a MOBA. There are no cooldowns, lanes, inhibitors or classes, but teams of up to four players will fight to capture and hold spawn locations before wiping out the competition.”
Gustavsson said, “I think overall for me as Creative Director, number one is to deliver a really great game and experience. Sometimes, at least for us, it’s focusing on what you do well and what you know well, and ensuring that you deliver something good than trying a bit too much, stretching yourself too thin and risking it. I’d rather play it safe, deliver something really good and then look at the future and what could possibly be done than trying a bit too hard and [failing].”
Space Dust Studios just opened up in Melbourne and is comprised with some heavy hitter developers from EA, Crystal Dynamics & Criterion.
The new team, calling itself ‘Veteran developers gone rogue,’ is working on its debut project. The project is a AAA PC game, which just entered an 18-month development cycle.
