Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition Review for PC

Kicking, shooting, leashing, smashing, etc… sounds interesting, doesn’t it? Bulletstorm came on the previous generation back in 2011, where it made a name for itself for the gameplay and story, and players liked the game very much. Developed by People Can Fly and published by Gearbox Publishing, they have come back for the current generation with the remastered edition – Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition. The game also came back with an added mod where our protagonist turns into the legendary Duke Nukem.

Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition has all the previous modes still available, i.e. Single player, coop mode, multiplayer modes as well Duke Nukem mod. The story is still the same – our protagonist is hunting our antagonist, and goes rogue and crazy trying to destroy General Sarrano. Bulletstorm starts with us on a shooting spree. The game always has got one additional bot player that will always help us through the quest. Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition is actually fun after we receive the echo device, which gives special skillshot tree and also provides with an electrical leash.

Once I was able to get the echo, it became more fun, as I was able to get the points for different skills. We can pull and kick an enemy, or can hit them halfway through, which slows down the enemy movement. And, as we move forward, our weapons can provide charge shots, which can be utilized and bought leashing any drop kits, and using the points earned by doing kill. Every weapon has a different charge shots that works, and is very unique. It makes the game more fun to play with.

The character build up is great in the story, as we move forward, the team mate relationship development is great, I really liked the story and it was fun to go through the game, sliding and kicking the creeps, and hitting the blast canisters. Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition has been enhanced with 4k capability, and it looks really beautiful with newer graphics. The lighting has been improvised, the texture detailing of each object looks great. The camera movements are still the same but feel great as well.

The Duke Nukem Tour mode is where we play as Duke Nukem himself – you can go back and re-visit all the chapters as Duke Nukem. Other than this stuff there has not much of any changes unfortunately. As the remaster, I was expecting they might have add some extra gameplay as well. Also the average runtime of story mode itself is just a few hours, and that felt really limited.

Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition is still great and it looks a lot better than the previous edition, but there are no additions to the game. It just felt great to play the game, but also felt down a bit. I would definitely give this game 8 stars. I would expect them to come up with a sequel though, which was cancelled long back.
