Helsinki, Finland – On Thursday and Friday this past week the White Nights Conference welcomed attendees in Helsinki for the first time. It’s a game development and marketing conference that has been hosted by Nevosoft, a Russia based game developer and publisher, eight times already in St. Petersburg and Moscow. The show is famous for its networking opportunities for talented developers from different countries.
This White Nights Helsinki 2016 is no difference. There gathered over 800 attendees from leading companies, including Rovio, Supercell, Next Games, Facebook, VK.com, Google, Social Quantum, Pixonic, Playrix, Playkot, RJ Games, PlayRaven and many others. A large developer exhibition featured 70 teams showcasing their games to possible partners.
The Games Industry Awards took place at the White Nights Conference for the third year in a row. The winners in five categories were announced at the official party. The following companies were awarded for outstanding professional services in the games industry in 2015:
- Advertising / Monetization: Appodeal
- Analytics Platform: Google Analytics
- Localization Service: Native Prime
- Sound in Games: 93 Steps
- Platform developer relations: Google
One more awards ceremony is expected in the end of the second day. The Indie Game cup is a competition for developers. Best games are chosen independently by the specially invited jury. Winners will get prizes from Microsoft, Amazon and Rovio.
