Amplitude to Collaborate with Video Game Music’s Hottest Musicians

Earlier this month, Harmonix Music Systems launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund one if its most requested games, a reboot of the 2003 controller-based rhythm action game, Amplitude.

Now, Harmonix has sent us a press release announcing its collaboration with some of today’s video game music’s hottest musicians. Take a look below:

Harmonix Music Systems is excited to announce exciting collaborations with some of video game music’s hottest musicians for its reboot of the 2003 controller-based rhythm action game, Amplitude™, for the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system and PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system! Amplitude is currently seeking crowdfunding support via Kickstarter.

Anamanaguchi (Scott Pilgrim Saves the World), Danny Baranowsky (Super Meat Boy, Canabalt), C418 (Minecraft), Kasson Crooker (FreQuencyAmplitude, Symbion Project), Jim Guthrie (Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP), and Freezepop (FreQuencyAmplitude) will all contribute original tracks to this exciting reboot of the rhythm action classic!

“We’re thrilled to be able to collaborate with these incredible artists who have proven themselves more than capable of delivering amazing tracks and setting the tone for some of our favorite games,” said Amplitude Creative Lead, Ryan Lesser. “Alongside the new original music our audio team is composing, we can’t wait to hear what they bring toAmplitude!”

Harmonix aims to update this cult classic title for modern game consoles with higher-fidelity visuals, new music, and more! The Kickstarter campaign ends on this Friday, May 23, 2014.

You can go to the game’s Kickstarter page, which has only four days to go and has already been funded $382,309 and back them up if you’d like and share this post with your friends to help them out.
